Real Wedding: Aimee+Colin

Aimee and Colin were such a wonderful couple to work with. Their energy and excitement was contagious. The two, along with the talented girls of Carter and Cook, designed such a beautiful day enjoyed by all who attended. The ceremony and reception were held at the amazing Condor's Nest Ranch in Pala. The views stretch for miles and you really feel atop of the world. The day was so effortlessly captured by Colleen Sherman.
What a gorgeous bride. Aimee carried a bouquet designed with roses, ranunculus, hydrangea, hypericum berries, and peonies.
The girls carried simple posy bouquets designed with roses.
Look at that ceremony backdrop. Crazy, right?! Colin made this structure of reclaimed wood and old windows. Perfection!
The reception tables were family style. The tables had runners designed with shutters, old books, peaches, and a random eclectic mix of vases and flowers. Each time you looked down at the table, you noticed a handmade detail.
Simply stunning!

La Milpa Organica Farm in Escondido was the location of our friend's baby shower. Guests gathered under this most amazing tree to celebrate the the much anticipated arrival of baby Bravo.
Guests walked through a passion fruit covered archway on their way to the big tree.
Off to the left was this great man made structure.
Picnic tables lined with mason jar arrangements.
A close up of the centerpiece designed with dusty miller, sweet pea, chamomile, and ranunculus.
A craft station for the guests to draw pictures on fabric squares that will be made into a quilt for the baby's room. A huge hit with the kids.
The Mattson Two played amazing jazz throughout the show. Check these boys out. Trust me, you'll love them. Perfect for a a cocktail hour!

Nonpareil Magazine Issue 2: Naturally Sweet, Beautifully Bold

After Issue 1 of Nonpareil Magazine launched, the talented Daisy Varley contacted me to assist her in creating the floral design for her tablescape featured in Issue 2. Issue 2 was all about color! The color palette Daisy was inspired by was made up of turquoise, creamy peony, honey yellow, saffron, and walnut. Natural with pops of color! For the natural elements, I knew I had to incorporate air plants for texture and because I just LOVE them! Pussy willow, birch, seeded eucalyptus rounded out the natural elements while the ranunculus, anemone, acacia, and chocolate cymbidium orchids added pops of color. All of the paper styling was created by Kristen Ketola of Dear Clementine Invitations.

Exquisite Weddings Magazine

I had the privilege to work alongside the girls of Carter and Cook on this stunning, shabby chic inspired table top design for the Spring/Summer 2010 issue of Exquisite Weddings Magazine. The Floral Lab making its debut in a print magazine! Alyssa McNees, the Creative Director for the magazine referred to Carter and Cook and The Floral Lab as "fresh talent" and "newbies" who "went for a youthful, whimsical look." I couldn't have described who we are and what we're about any better!
