Today I stopped by c . st. studio in Solana Beach to say hi to friend and photog Justin Lee and drop off some flowers for the new spot. Although I missed the studio's grand opening event, I got the grand tour and couldn't help but to feel like I had stepped into a hip nyc loft. home sweet home

Imagine my excitement when I came home yesterday to find my first gardenia bloom in the pot by my front door! Now, at the end of each day when I arrive home, I stop and smell the gardenia. What a sweet scent it brings. I'm looking forward to more blooms and their sweet scent being carried by the summer breeze into my front door and window.

Ask Rachel

I was so excited to open the May issue of InStyle magazine and see that Rachel Bilson (aka Summer Roberts from The O.C.) now has her own column, "Ask Rachel". If you love her personal style like me, she's going to be answering your style questions and shares her must-haves. I think I'm going to write her and ask two questions, not so much about personal style, but if I can raid her closet and if I can be her floral designer. Hayden Christensen popped the big question over the holidays! No wedding date has been set. Stay tuned.

Astrud Gilberto, known as "The Girl from Impanema" and often referred to as "The Queen of Bossa-Nova", is an artist with roots firmly planted in Brazilian music. Her music has become an interesting combination of the sensual rhythms of Brazil and AMerican Pop and Jazz.
